More Singaporeans Should Be The Ripples That We Are!

Robert F. Kennedy said, “Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

I'm still out of Singapore and out of sync with the latest development at home due to my kampong break (chill out?) and limited access to internet. I have some wifi time now and I'm delighted to share my thoughts.

If PM Lee Hsien Loong and President Tony Tan did not and do not intend to reply to Hazel Poa's request for the PM and President to call for a referendum on the 6.9M, it shows the contempt they have for the people. After the protest at Hong Lim Park on 16 Feb 2013, do they not realise that Singaporeans are very sick and tired of the current over-crowdedness and that we are very unhappy with the "no hue" = "can't be bothered" attitude of the PAP government?

Some say, "Life's a bitch and then we die." I do not agree. I believe, "Make Life Joyful and then we go to a better place." It can be joyful if we do what's right and honourable even if we are not rich or powerful. It is most joyful if we do our part to help the future generation to have a better life. The joy is overwhelming if we stand up against injustice and overcome fear to unite as one people to truly build a democratic society based on justice and equality. For the sake of our children and our children's children, we must continue to enlighten as many Singaporeans as possible of the scary future that is coming our way. To get them to energize with us to create waves out of ripples to bring forth a Singapore that takes care of all Singaporeans and not, I repeat not, only the PAP elitists and the rich and famous!

By not solving the current infrastructural screw-ups and having the audacity to blatantly announce and proceed with the "6.9M Import" is to rape Singaporeans not only in the 69 position but also anally and orally. Yes, its 3-in-1 and they think they can do anything they like as if they are God's gifts to Singaporeans!

Sedikit sedikit lama lama jadi bukit. That is what Robert F Kennedy said it in English,
“Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”
― Robert F. Kennedy

My friends, my dear fellow Singaporeans, we cannot let the current uncaring government walk all over us with their hubris and disregard for all of us. We must continuously enlighten our fellow citizens of the predicament we are in so that with unity and numbers, we can improve ourselves to fear not the PAP government so that we can make Singapore a better place not for the elitist PAP and their cronies but for all Singaporeans regardless of race, language or religion to build a democratic society based on justice and equality.

Lighten Up and Laugh

Dear readers,

When you are in the mood, the moments keep coming. In this chicken kampong where there are still many 25-year-old cars running on the road (COE? No way, Jose!) and where I have limited access to internet, the emails that I received really lighten me up!

Please enjoy the following which I just received from my dear buddies.

--------~~~~~~~~--------

These four older ladies who lived in Italy
Always sat outside together near the church
And chatted about when they were younger.

One month ago they pooled their money together and bought a laptop.

Never having been, but having heard all about Florida, they just happened to click on St. Augustine, FL.

They read about the "Fountain of Youth" claimed by the Spaniards when they arrived there.

They collected up all they had left and sent for four bottles of the water.
As soon as it arrived, they drank as directed.

The rest of this story will make you a believer, because here they are today.................

No.........This is TRUE!  Really!

Would We lie to you?

We have a limited supply of this water available at an incredibly low price of just $1,499.95 a bottle.

Seriously ...

HURRY BEFORE THE INVENTORY RUNS OUT

Make cheques payable to:

"PAP"

( You can trust us, we would NEVER lie to you!)

And this is another!

Singaporeans Are Emboldened, Not Beholden

Since posting up "Majulah Singapura" [Link], I have taken the effort to take a break to seek for 'bahagia" or "joy".

I'm now in a kampong where there are chickens and roosters everywhere (the kampong type). I am away from the maddening crowd of 5.3million. I am in a place where passengers greet their bus driver with "Good Morning/Afternoon" or "Hello" when they board the bus. They say "Goodbye" or "Have a nice day" to the driver when they alight. I am at a place where the bus driver (and passengers of the bus) gives me a smile when I hold back everybody by asking the driver if I boarded the correct bus (because I'm a 'suaku' in this place). When I get a seat, the person beside me would ask me where do I come from, chat me up and make me feel at home.

They do not give me the dirty look (or quietly curse me) for delaying them from where they want to go.  If I were in Singapore, many may go: "Delay no more" sounding like "Tiu leh lo mo" (say that in Cantonese) and wish that I had never boarded the bus.

No Sir, I'm not blaming Singaporeans for being impatient. I believe that the chase for money; for being number one, for not wanting to lose out to our neighbours (next door, or country-wise, north and south) has make us what we are. We, not all though, are chasing our own tails, following the style of our leaders to leech as many people as possible (even our fellow citizens) to get rich quick! Making a mockery of NS by paying themselves millions! In so doing, we may have lost our humanity to be decent and be kind to each other. Instead of win-win situation, many of us has become like PAP to win at all cost at the expense of all others - by means of 'fixing and buying' regardless of how much harm we may cause others!

Looking back to the wet Saturday of 16 Feb 2013 at Hong Lim Park, I do feel that about 4,000 (or whatever you figure from the pic) Singaporeans ( including foreigners) care enough to do right for Singapore. To be in this "happy place" now with lovely strangers who treat you dearer than friends is to be in Singapore between 4pm to 7pm in Hong Lim Park, Saturday of 16 Feb 2013! If I may, the desire of each of the participant there was to tell PM Lee Hsien Loong and his very rich ministers and well connected MPs that :
  1. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
  2. WE ARE NO LONGER AFRAID!
  3. FOR JUSTICE, EQUALITY AND PEACE FOR OUR NATION, PLEASE DELAY NO MORE!
  4. HAVE THE DECENCY TO SOLVE THE CURRENT INFRASTRUCTURE PROBLEMS NOW!
  5. DO NOT SHOVE INTO OUR THROATS THE 6.9M WHICH IS ALREADY GAGGING US AT 5.3M! HOW ON EARTH WE SQUEEZE 6.5 MILLION PEOPLE IN 710 SQ KM ??? (272 SQ MILE [LINK] OR 174080 ACRES OR 70447 HECTARES)
  6. WE WANT PEACE. DO NOT STRESS US OUT WITH MORE PEOPLE!
  7. PLEASE DO NOT TREAT THOSE WHO DISAGREE YOU AS DIRT1
  8. STOP INSINCERE APOLOGIES AND GET THE REAL WORK DONE!
  9. STOP BREEDING (IMPORTING FOREIGNERS) OR REAL SINGAPOREANS WILL START BLEEDING!
  10. ARE YOU LEADERS OF THE NATION OR ARE YOU MOSQUITOES?
Since my last blog, I know not what is happening in Singapore because I'm in a kampong without news from Singapore. I managed to get hold of some internet time and I'm glad to write to let my dear readers know that I'm doing good.

As much as PAP keeps threatening Singaporeans of "SILVER TSUNAMI" and that more taxes are required to support the "old fogeys", hence more immigrant workers are needed, I wish PAP to know that that's crap! Seniors in Singapore do not take advantage of the system to selfishly enrich themselves. They are not like the ministers who took advantage of the power to pay themselves millions at the expense of the taxpayers!

The PAP government does nothing much for the seniors in Singapore. The dignity that old fogeys have is beyond the imagination of PAP hotshots in ivory towers! We seniors neither beg nor sell our souls to PAP for a few dollars more! The way that we were brought up, the culture that we have do not permit us to beg from arrogant pricks to make our lives better. If we cannot take care of ourselves through our own hard effort and savings, our children will take care of us. And if there are no children, friends and relatives will help us. We do not want to lose our dignity, our sleep, to beg from PAP's MPs for which we are expected to be beholden to them.

It is so sickening to read in the msm of PAP's ministers and MPs distributing 'ang pows' to residents. Are these "publicity whores" fishing for loyalty with future potential votes or are they truly appearing in the limelight doing good with their heart of gold?

If they know not,
I'd like them to know
Emboldened we are
Beholden we are not

Let not the PAP's arrogance and contempt of Singaporeans destroy the peace and unity that we have for almost 5 decades!

Do you hear the people sing?

[Link]

Dear PM Lee and PAP, it is already tough for us average Singaporeans to achieve "BAHAGIA". Please do not take it away from us by importing another 100,000 aliens every year till 2030 to reach 6.9M!

Why lead us to such misery?

Why Is Straits Times So Shy?

I'm grateful for these great pictures in facebook [Link]. I'm amazed why such pictures are not featured in the Straits Times newsprint.

A dear friend of mine working in University of Hong Kong who is as engrossed as I am in the 'Save Singapore Event' [Link] sent me these newsprints dated Sunday, 17 Feb 2013.

If Hong Kong's South China Morning Post [Link] can print the above on their front page, why is Straits Times so shy that it has to hide such momentous history-making local news at page four of Sunday Times?

If 73 PAP MPs who spoke in Parliament as if they disagreed with the "Sustainable Population for a Dynamic Singapore" but went forth to vote 'aye' for the White Paper, blame me not for not being surprised by the self-preserving act of Straits Times' management team.

To some, the butter (kaya) on the bread is worth more than the integrity, the dignity, the honour of being true to oneself. The 'kaya' (being rich) is worth selling away one's professional integrity and dignity! The 'kaya' is worth living and labelled as a hypocrite! No different from MPs who spoke and vote with forked tongues on the White Paper!

The fear of 'kia bolui', 'kia towkay' and 'kia chenghu' can be scary. Especially so when the 'towkay' is also the 'chenghu'! However, to sacrifice one's dignity and self-respect to be a toady and be in the limelight to be in line for economic ($$$) success which may lead to political power is to lead a life of depravity!

It may not be in the rank of "Selling your own mother and make a profit of it" but the comparison washes well.

It's been said that it is the chase and not the climax that keeps one going. The climax of having thousands standing in the rain in solidarity to achieve bahagia for Singapore  after days of counting down to 16 Feb 2013 at Hong Lim Park has not gone limp.

Together, Singaporeans (with moral support from like-minded friends from Hong Kong and Malaysia)  will continue to stand up for decency to peacefully fight our rights for a democratic society based on justice and equality and not be cowered by well connected hypocrites whose greed for self interest (money and power) knows no bounds!

With idiotic acts like the White Paper, I hope the silly PAP government realises that when push comes to shove, it may be too late. The damage will be devastating like we see elsewhere.

Just so PAP knows, Singaporeans don't want Arab Spring or Tiananmen Square of 1989. Let not the Push becomes Shove!

Dear readers, brothers and sisters, may peace and bahagia be with you!

kaya = a noun meaning bread spread made from egg, coconut and sugar
kaya =  also an adjective meaning rich and/or prosperous
kia bolui = fear of no money; fear of being poor
kia towkay = fear of boss or employer
kia chenghu = fear of government or ruling power
bahagia = happiness, being joyful

Unlike the National Day Parade, we sang our National Anthem without any rehearsal
at about 6.50pm on Saturday 16 February 2013
"To Be In The Moment"
"Bahagia"
(Happiness)
[Majulah Singapura Video Link]
Sing it like you have never sung it before!
A Happy Place for our grandchildren in 2030!

Mari kita rakyat Singapura
sama-sama menuju bahagia;
Cita-cita kita yang mulia,
berjaya Singapura.

Marilah kita bersatu
dengan semangat yang baru;
Semua kita berseru,
Majulah Singapura,
Majulah Singapura!

Marilah kita bersatu
dengan semangat yang baru;
Semua kita berseru,
Majulah Singapura,
Majulah Singapura!

Come, fellow Singaporeans
Let us progress towards happiness together
May our noble aspiration bring
Singapore success

Come, let us unite
In a new spirit
Together we proclaim
Onward Singapore
Onward Singapore

Come, let us unite
In a new spirit
Together we proclaim
Onward Singapore
Onward Singapore

Thank you my fellow Singaporeans for your love, solidarity and courage to brave the rain and mud to tell the PAP that
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Dear Lee Hsien Loong and PAP,

This event is the National Conversation
If you choose not to listen
And continue with your arrogance
You will be the cause of xenophobia in Singapore

No, not because Singaporeans are xenophobic
But because you have force upon us more than we can humanly tolerate
Please solve the current shortage of infrastructure for the 5.3 million
Before coming up with your high falutin' 6.9 million!

Boleh kita sama sama menuju bahagia?
(Can we progress together towards happiness?)
Mesti boleh!
(For sure, we can!)
If only you are humble and sincere enough to listen and work together with the people!

16 Feb 2013 - Singaporean Singapore Day

You must read The Guardian's Singapore protest: 'Unfamiliar faces are crowding our land' [Link]

Ain't it a shame that Straits Times and other mainstream media in Singapore has not written anything on this historic event.

Today, 16 February 2013, is the day that Singaporeans will stand together at Hong Park at 4pm for a "Singaporean Singapore"! (thanks to Faisal of WP for this call)

Though it is raining now (11.30 am) where I live, I pray it will stop soon. Should it continue,  I sincerely hope that Singaporeans are courageous and strong enough to brave the rain, the muddy field to 'be in the moment' to show the PAP government and the world wide world that

Singaporeans aren't Quitters!
Singaporeans aren't Fair Weather Wimps!
Singaporeans aren't Pushovers!
Singaporeans aren't Retards!

The Singapore Pledge is not an Aspiration.
The Singapore Pledge is now a Call To Action.
On 16 February 2013, Singaporeans will gather at Hong Lim Park at 4pm to be, not pledge, not aspire, but

TO BE ONE UNITED PEOPLE,
REGARDLESS OF RACE, LANGUAGE OR RELIGION
TO BUILD A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY
BASED ON JUSTICE AND EQUALITY
SO AS TO  ACHIEVE HAPPINESS, PROSPERITY AND
PROGRESS FOR OUR NATION

TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN AND OUR GRANDCHILDREN
FROM BEING INVADED BY ALIEN FOREIGNERS
WHO SO ARROGANTLY TAKE AWAY
OUR JOBS,
OUR HOUSES,
OUR LANGUAGES,
OUR LIVING SPACES AND
OUR RIGHTS TO PRESERVE OUR WAY OF LIFE.

Be there!

Lest I be accused of being xenophobic, I am not. I have nothing against foreigners. I am against a government that will make Singapore lose its core.. It is already bad with 5.3 million of more than 40% aliens now. For the sake of my children and grandchildren, I cannot allow our lives to be messed up further by allowing more foreigners to take away our core, our values, our way of life!

Tomorrow: "Say No to 6.9M" - Stop the Foreign Invaders!

Do read the link above to hear of Reuter's report on our quest to tell the PAP government that Enough is Enough!

You may enjoy Singa Blogger Blogspot's blog on the fictitious letter by a PAP Grassroots Leader to PM. [Link]

I am incensed by Hri Kumar's "National Defence Duty" on foreigners and PRs crap.

I'm impressed by Siew Kum Hong's response here.

This is what I wish to add:

I started my full time National Service in 1969 in the Infantry wearing temasek green uniform and ended in the Armoured Battalion before my ROD (yes, it was termed 'run-out-date' in the good old days) in 1971. Thereafter, I did my reservist training in the Army. If that was not enough, I was seconded to the Civil Defence Force to do time in the grey uniform as a reservist after many years in temasek green!

I cannot remember the number of years I contributed to the defence of Singapore but my wife, my kids and especially my boss sure missed me when I had to be called in for those reservists training!

I did not quite like it then but I hate it now! I fooking hate the way they monetize my sweat, my blood and my children's tears when I could not come home for dinner as I could not book out but had to stay in-camp doing my reservist training!

Come 2030, my grandson will do his time in National Service (if NS still exists by then). He will be treated by half or more of Singapore's 6.9 million population as "cannon fodder" because the PRs and foreigners whose sons do not need to serve NS will be lorded as paymasters who pay my grandson his NS Salary with their monetary defence duty as recommended by Hri Kumar.

Before Hri Kumar's flippant idea reaches parliament, I humbly suggest that he goes sell his mother first. And make a pimply profit out of it!

Yes, it is rude and I am fookin' angry. But this is the only way to wake up those PAP numbskulls that their "money buys everything!" is not the solution.
  • Money cannot buy the blood, sweat, tears of all NSmen.
  • Money cannot replace the loss of limbs of NSmen.
  • Money cannot bring life to the untimely deaths of young NSMen and heal the grief and broken hearts of their parents and loved ones
  • NSmen and many Singaporeans ask not what the country (PAP ministers and MPs) can do for them, but they do all they can for their country Singapore! Without million dollar salary that ministers make . . . which makes a mockery of National Service!
Even pimps have code of honour and know what loyalty and service to country and countrymen means. Do PAP MPs have only SHIT and $$$$ in their heads?

Nuff said!

COUNTDOWN:  Tomorrow is 16 Feb 2013.

Come rain or shine, thunder or lightning, be at Hong Lim Park at 4pm on 16 Feb 2013 to show the arrogant PAP that we want a SINGAPOREAN SINGAPORE!!

We don't want them to play dirty like in AIMgate.
We don't want 6 million in 2020.
We dont want 6.9 million in 2030.

KEEP SINGAPORE CLEAN (BERSEH)!

Monstrosity! [video link1
Enough Is Enough! [video link2]

My extended family and I will be there.

2 Days to "Say No To 6.9M" - Singaporeans Are Not Fair-Weather Wimps!

If Valentine's Day is named as a day to celebrate love of the romantic kind on 14 February all over the world, how should we name 16 February in Singapore this year onward? "Love Singapore Day", "Save Singapore Day, "Stand Up For Singapore Day" or simply "Singapore Day".

With the time spent updating daily the blog and the running around taking monstrous pics at street corners to create vids [Link] my wife wonders on this Valentine's Day if I'm tempting another heart attack? Fortunately, like me, she is grateful for the bonus time I have since my last heart trauma. We both know well that if it is time to be fedtothefish then it is time to go in peace.

Despite 17 hours of rain, when the first election rally of WP was held at Punggol East [Link],  thousands with feet in the mud [Link] turned up to support another alternative voice in parliament. As it's been raining dogs an cats these few days, I hope the weather will be kind this Saturday when we gather at Hong Lim Park at 4pm.

Whatever the weather, I'm confident that Singaporeans who care enough are not fair-weather wimps who are afraid to get wet or get their feet dirtied. I hope to be In The Moment again in Hong Lim Park with a much bigger crowd.

To be part of a gathering to show the world that we are not so 'daft' as to allow a government to let foreigners invade us is to fulfill an important item in my bucket list. Without the need of "spurs in our hides" we will dress up and show up this Saturday.

As I so often mention, bitching, talking, blogging and forwarding emails and is not enough.

Come rain, shine, thunder or lightning, we must all stand up for Singapore, for our children and their children. Get your umbrellas, your ponchos ready!

Singaporeans aren't Quitters!

3 Days To "Say No to 6.9M" - Why PAP Ministers and MPs are Perpetually at Street Corners?

I just come to understand the term 'Publicity Whores" and I think PAP makes the worst kind!
The ubiquitous banners with faces of MPs and Ministers in every PAP constituency in Singapore is pretty telling. They are there at every celebration - Banners wishing you 'Selamat Hari Raya", "Merry Christmas", Happy Deepavali", Gong Xi Fa Cai" and everything else.  Why do PAP have to cheapen themselves for publicity?

I do not see the faces of WP MPs in banners in Alunied, Hougang or Punggol East at their street corners. Residents there are blessed that they don't have such publicity whores staring at them.
Is it due to the fact that WP MPs walk the ground more often and their residents know who they are. Hence, there is no need to advertise themselves at street corners?

Maybe PAP MPs should get out of their ivory towers and get to know their residents too instead of outsourcing their jobs to the CCCs and RCs.

Why such monstrosity at their street corner at every festive occasion?
Every street and corner
You will see their faces
Make you very nauseous
These useless selfish leeches
How they A.I.M. we cannot see
Screwed we are by PAP

To endorse the White Paper to import foreigners to increase Singapore's population to 6 million in 2020 and 6.9 million in 2030 is to screw up the lives of my children and my grandchildren.
I feel strongly that if I let them ride roughshod over me now without a whimper, I would have failed in protecting the interests of my children and my grandchildren.
Please help me and join me in telling the PAP that
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

4 Days to "Say No To 6.9M"

Instead of 4.30pm, the Event will start at 4pm on Saturday 16 Feb 2013 at Speakers' Corner, Hong Lim Park.

Below is an update from Mr Gilbert Goh, organizer for the Event.

"We wil be starting the event earlier at 4pm due to the sheer number of speakers we have and other performances. Please try to spread the word around if possible.

I am also seeing Reuters corrspondent tomorrow for a short interview and BBC has also just contacted me. It looks like the event has garnered worldwde global attention which is phenomenal.

Many people have asked me what is the dress colour code for the day and obviously its black in colour. Black is the universal protest colour. Do bring your own placards and handheld banners to protest peacefully at the event.

We should be able to confirm if we can do livestreaming by Thursday so that 200,000 overseas Singaporeans and million others worldwide can watch the event live on the internet. It will be a spectacular event so don't miss it Singapore!

Let us bring our displeasure of the population white paper to the world attention!"

Ain't it a shame that every mass medium is interested to report on this Singapore event except the msm of Singapore namely Straits Times and MediaCorp's channels like CNA.

The music I heard when I asked a couple to join us this Saturday:
Husband: "Let's be at Hong Lim Park this Saturday to support 'say no to overpopulating Singapore with foreigners'"
Wife: "Yes, but we have to send our daughter to her art class this Saturday at 4pm"
Husband: "It's better to miss one class than to let her miss a whole future!"

5 Days to "Say No To 6.9M"

Pics extracted from PinkDot.sg [link] showing thousands gathering at Hong Lim Park last year

Is the LBGT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community more passionate and courageous than a community of Singaporeans who disagree with the parliamentary endorsement of the White Paper to over-populate Singapore to 6 million by 2020 and 6.9 million by 2030?

I urge all Singaporeans to be with me and my extended family members on 16 Feb 2013 at 4.30pm at Speakers' Corner Hong Lim Park. I have to be there to let Lee Hsien Loong know that all is not well. He, Khaw Boon Wan and Teo Chee Hian amongst the 77 PAP MPs' refusal to listen to our plea that the over-crowding in Singapore is messing us up is equivalent to "sticking their middle finger" at us when they pushed through the White Paper!

That shows the respect the 77 PAP MPs (especially ministers) have for Singaporeans! If they refuse to listen why waste taxpayers money and time on a NATional CONversation?

All of us know that the only way to stop this atrocity committed by PAP is to do what majority of Aljunied, Hougang and Punggol East citizens do. Vote PAP out! However, 2016 may be too late. The damage done by then may be terminal for Singapore. Meanwhile we must stand up as Singaporeans to let PAP know that artificially importing citizens to this 710 square kilometre of land is creating much unhappiness and will lead to madness and perdition!

I'm very sure that some members of LBGT are reading this blog. I hope you good folks can help stand up for our kids and our kids' kids. Please don't let PAP continue to encourage foreign strangers to take away the little breathing space that we now have.

Please be there 16 Feb 2013 at 4.30pm at Speakers' Corner Hong Lim Park for our selves and our children and children's future survival. [Link]

Regardless of race, language, religion, age, gender, Straight or LBGT, please be present at Hong Lim Park on Saturday, 16 feb 2013 at 4.15pm.

No dress code required but black will be nice.

May this Chinese New Year bring you joy and courage to be at Hong Lim Park on 16 Feb 2013 to bring peace, prosperity, progress and well-being to you, your children and their children.

While the above video may lighten us up, in a more serious note, Hazel Poa of NSP (National Solidarity Party) has written to the President and Prime Minister of Singapore requesting for a referendum to be held with regards to parliament's endorsement to have a population of 6 million in 2020 and 6.9 million in 2030. [Link]

Knowing Tony Tan and Lee Hsien Loong, we the citizens of Singapore know what the outcome would be of NSP's request. The President and PM can choose to ignore or come up with some excuses that the referendum will be detrimental to Singapore. We shall see.

Meanwhile, while the "Say No to 6.9 million" has gathered much steam in some msm [Link], some commentators are scaring concerned citizens who wish turn up at Hong Lim Park on 16 Feb 2013 that "ang chias" = "red police vans" (intimidating black marias) will be there. It is a shame that male Singaporeans trained in the military NS and doing reservist training can be intimidated by "ang chia" when the future of their descendants are at stake. Or are they not aware of the legitimacy of "Speakers' Corner" at Hong Lim Park for people to gather without fear to listen to speakers speak as long as it does not incite racial or religious sensitivity?

We do not break the law when we gather at Speakers' Corner to show the PAP rulers that having 6 million (in 2020) and 6.9 million (in 2030) when current infrastructure is incapable of supporting 5.3 million is suicidal. Insufficient infrastructures like exorbitant housing, clinics and hospitals, public transportation, school and university places and open spaces are the stuff that bug Singaporeans. The demonstration at Hong Lim Park is a show of solidarity that we love Singapore enough to not let it go to the dogs!

Please hear my plea: [Link]

To the more than 1,100 people who said on a Facebook page that they will or may join the demonstration on Feb. 16 at Speakers’ Corner, please be there.

To the 9,300 who  have also “liked” another page that calls for a stand against the government and “Say ‘No’ to an Overpopulated Singapore.” come rain or shine, thunder or lightning, please be at Hong Lim Park at 4.30pm on 16 Feb 2013 to show our solidarity to have a SINGAPOREAN SINGAPORE!

Bitching, talking, blogging and forwarding emails and is not enough.

We don't want 6 million in 2020 or 6.9 million in 2030!

KEEP SINGAPORE CLEAN (BERSEH)!

My extended family and I will be there.

Will you?

Please forward this plea to all your friends and relatives so that with peace and humility we can show the arrogant PAP government that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

7 Days to "Say No to 6.9M"

I cried when I read PM Lee said, "Immigrants have been critical to Singapore's success and over the years, many have embraced Singapore's cause, and made important contributions to Singapore, being the fiercest defenders of Singapore and the most able propounders of our cause and pushing our story worldwide. Rajaratnam was one of them. That's how we become a shiny red dot."  I cried not because he was able to stir my sense of nationalism for my country. I cried because I was offended by the insult he brought to our former ministers like S Rajaratnam. To compare Singapore's founding generation of leaders like Rajaratnam to the mass importation of foreigners now by PAP with open legs is an insult too much to bear.

He went on to say,"So we will watch the numbers. But the Singapore core is not just about the number, it's about the spirit, and when I talked about the spirit earlier and if the spirit is strong, we can manage, and I think it's critical to imbue the younger Singaporeans with the Singapore spirit. We will always put Singaporeans first and make sure that the benefits of population in our population policies flow to Singaporeans" If the PM always put Singaporeans first, why are we suffering now? Why are we crowded out by foreigners who takes over our HDB flats, our cars, our buses, our trains, our roads, our social mores, our decency. They have even taken over our rulers who cares more for them than us!

"But let me add also that at the same time Singapore cannot afford to be just here for the ride- passengers. We are not an oil state, where citizens can live on oil wealth and no citizens do the work. For Singapore to thrive, we Singaporeans must always stay lean and hungry. If we lose our drive, we will lose out" PM Lee has to be mindful not to add insult to injury. Average and poorer Singaporeans work without seeing the 'Blue Sky' to make ends meet. It is audacious of him to insult us like that. I may be wrong but I guess the only people living like they have oil wealth are millionaire ministers and their connected cronies and partners. The rest of us cannot even afford to pay for a $8 for a heart bypass operation!

Instead of PAP MP  Lim Wee Kiat asking Low Thia Khiang to turn on his "hearing aid", it is time for PAP to "turn on its hearing aid" to touch base with reality. They have been in their stratospheric ivory towers for far too long! [Link]

8 Days to " Say No to 6.9M"

Dear readers,

I would appreciate if you read the comments written in this link and this link Not so much on what I wrote but more on what was written by the readers. The anonymous commentators 'do good in secret' what every Singaporean should do this 16 of February 2013.

Anonymously, without declaring who we are, we should just be there in Hong Lim Park at 4.30pm, come rain or shine, thunder or even lightning, to register our frustration at the way PAP rides roughshod over us. You should not worry as the faces of Singaporeans in this video [Link] shows what human rights and democracy is about and what Singapore should be. It is about the right for us to take a stand, to show our joy in doing what is right for our country and our loved ones without fear!

The fear that some Singaporeans have about offending PAP is so ridiculous. Try this:
In a crowded hawker centre or food court, find a table occupied by others with one or two seats still vacant. Ask politely to share the table. After sitting yourself down, say, "Hey, thanks for the seat. Do you think PAP sucks?" The first thing you notice is that the occupants will turn their heads, look behind their shoulders to see if any "PAP ghosts' are around. If you are lucky, they may share their like minded thoughts with you. More often than not, they'd think that you are a crazy nutcase on a path of self destruction. They would then excuse themselves or finish eating as fast as possible to get away from you. Ahem, this is one cool way of clearing seats for your friends in our damned overcrowded hawker centre and food court when you wish to eat at the same table with your friends and colleagues during lunch hour. Try it.

I'm feedmetothefish. I'm just fishfood after I die. I have with the consent of my children and the approval of my wife and my mother (I would have seek my Papa's permission if he is still alive) will that when I die, my children should not put my cremated remains into any urn nor rent a condo in any columbarium to crowd out the little Singapore that we have. Just throw my ashes to the sea and feedmetothefish. A few years ago, when I sent off a dear buddy who walked off before me, we took a boat ride from Pasir Panjang jetty costing $500 for his sea burial. With inflation, I wonder how much PSA would charge for the service when my time comes.

Though I'm anonymous to my readers, I'm sure the power that is knows who I am. Those who love and care for me ask if I'm pushing the envelope too far in blogging the way I do. After reading books written by political detainees like Teo Soh Lung [Link] and Dr Poh Soo Kai [Link1] and Tan Wah Piow [Link2], they worry that "accident" may happen to me or I may be hauled up by ISD in the early morning hours or be slapped with a lawyer's letter for defaming some millionaire PAP politicians.

A couple of my friends in the legal fraternity who care and love me enough took the effort to pass my wife and kids their contact numbers just in case something untoward happens to me. I am most grateful for their kindness, foresight and protection.

If you live the life that I lived, if you love your kids and grandkids the way I love mine, you will do what I do, telling it like it is without fear or favour... and be at Hong Lim Park on 16 Feb 2013.

With PAP's plan to add another 1.7 million people over the next 17 years to make it 7 million by 2030 in Singapore, I cannot, for the life of me, do nothing to protect my offsprings and their children from being raped by a government who cares not for the interests of Singaporeans but their own GDP figures that correspond with their salaries and their political longevity.

On Saturday, 16 February 2013 at 4.30pm, I must be there together with those I love and those who love me at Hong Lim Park to register our contempt for a PAP government devoid of responsibility, sincerity and human kindness. They are neither fair nor just in their governance. As I so often mentioned, the day PAP ministers paid themselves millions, they made a mockery of national service. Not unlike mercenaries, they appear to be serving themselves more than they serve the people.

Dear readers, I need your courage, love and compassion to be with me and my children and grandchildren on 16 February 2013 at Hong Lim Park so that they will have a Singapore in 2030 that they can live with pride, love, joy and dignity. Otherwise, they will be trampled by foreigners who will despise us for the reckless stupidity committed by an irresponsible PAP Government originating from the White Paper of 2013!

Thank you.

9 Days to "Say No to 6.9M"

PAP Has Lost Its Credibility.

It takes patience to watch this video. [Link] I strongly recommend readers to watch because it has gems from many ministers and MPs (PAP, WP and Nominated) doing their thing. However, if the vocal irritates you, please lower your speaker volume.

Watching Khaw Boon Wan doing his dramapapaya in the above video can make you cringe. To pretend to beg WP with clasped hands and say, 'On behalf of these families, I ask Workers Party, please rethink your idea and your approach. Please spare a thought a thought for them. They are our people, fellow Singaporeans too." will not him an Oscar Award. What idiot would not know that Singapore is already a concrete jungle with artificial greenery?

This braggart glorifying himself with his  Punggol North development and saying, "I'm a very discipline chap", "I went underground, I'm chairing the Inter-ministerial Underground Committed to study and coordinate underground developments" makes you want to puke. The wasting of  parliamentarians' time with his $8 heart story yesterday is just too much! (Move slider to almost the middle of this linked video to have a good laugh. . . or a bad puke.)

Ex-ministers Goh Chok Tong of Swiss Standard of Living fame and Mah Bow Tan who are finally summoned to appear in parliament to work for their money did themselves no favour by scaring us with the same crap. Goh Chok Tong says that PM Lee and his team show courage in planning for a population of 7 million, Truth be told, in implementing this white paper, PM Lee may do what George Bush did to Barack Obama in 2008 - Leaving an unbelievable pile of shit for the next PM of Singapore to clear! What with the opaqueness of HDB, CPF, Temasek and GIC. And the current AIMgate!

Again, I detest being called "Silver Tsunami" by Goh Chok Tong and other PAP stooges. Being in my 60's and despite my heart attack, I still work to sustain myself and my wife. We are blessed to have children who provide us with monthly allowance on their own free will. We are grateful for their respect and filial piety. But my wife and I are not, I repeat, are not "Silver Tsunami" We are not a destructive force to destroy a younger generation of Singaporeans we so love. Neither are we or other senior Singaporeans here to annihilate Singapore like tsunami! Fook the idiot who came up with such a derogatory term!

If PAP is so worried of oldies crowding Singapore, for fook sake, ban grandpas and grandmas who come from PRC, India and elsewhere! Yes, HDB playgrounds are swarmed by the parents of FTs with their princelings! Or are they already citizens of Singapore? Heaven forbids.

"I have come across a number of cases where our targeted one child from China brings in 2 parents who then bring 2 parents each as their dependents – Net is that we gain one young one child who we brought in for our future but also inherited 6 older people – making our ageing population issue worse not better." PAP MP, Inderjeet Singh speaking in Parliament on the White Paper.

The only consolation I have from watching the videos is that even PAP MPs are voicing their concerns over the current over-crowdedness and inadequate infrastructures. Even Table Tennis Queen has awakened to humble Khaw on the delinking of BTO flats to resale flats selling price.[Link ] Sadly, talk is cheap. They will end up as HYPOCRITES when they vote "aye" to endorse the Bill to have a population 6.9 millions.

Or will I be pleasantly surprised?

10 Days to "Say No To 6.9M"

From the White PAPer debate so far, it seems to me that only WP MPs care enough to speak out for workers and seniors of Singapore.

The PAP elitists simply cowpehcowbu (cry fathet, cry mother =bitch) about the alternative proposal put forth by WP on the population issue. Instead of listening and studying the proposal suggested by WP. PAP starts to act and look smart by hentaming (whacking) WP MPs . Funnily, it's Tan Chuan Jin, S Iswaran, Vickram Nair and the very privileged Non-NSman-MP Janil Puthucheary who appear stupid after their aggressive assault on Chen Show Mao and Gerald Giam. Their thoughtless outburst reminds me of another 'out of this world' MP who suggested that heavy vehicles should be banned in housing estates after the tragic deaths of 2 young boys in Tampines. Are these the expensive talents recruited by PAP???

The ways PAP twist and turn the argument to make WP MPs look bad was shown on TV yesterday. Of course, it will also appear in the Hansard.

Instead of referring to seniors as "Silver Tsunami" which I detest, Chen Show Mao says, "An ageing population is a triumph of development". To this, Ag Minister of Manpower and Tan Chuan Jin pointed out that schemes are already in place to attract more homemakers and seniors to the job market. To which Chen Show Mao said that Tan Chuan Jin's call reminded him of "the person who claims that quitting smoking is easy because he has done it a hundred times."I can't help but ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing?) as I myself am an ex-smoker who only succeeded in quitting after my fourth attempt. Thank you Mr Chen for lightening me up, making my day! [Expand the view of the pic above to read and you'll get the high too).

Mr Chen's Speech which is a "must read" is here [Link].

Has anyone wonder where does the monthly income of a Singaporean worker goes to?
  1. CPF (die die must pay)
  2. GST (die die must pay)
  3. COE (die die also must pay if you want to buy a car)
  4. Road Tax (die die must pay every year after paying COE for a car)
  5. HDB Mortgage (die die say not link to resale flat price but truth is obvious)
  6. Property tax (die die must pay every year for 99-year-lease hold HDB flats)
  7. Service and Conservancy Charges (Cheaper in WP's AHTC than in PAP wards)
  8. Maid Levy (die die must pay if you need demestic help take care of your aged parents or young children when married couple has to work)
  9. Sanitary Appliance Fee (die die must pay every month; go check your PUB/SP Services Bill)
  10. Waterborne Fee (WhatTheFook is that? die die must pay every month, yes check your SP Services bill!)
  11. Income Tax (die die must pay if you earn enough to subsist)
  12. Resale Flat Levy (die die must pay if we change my HDB (flat)
  13. Any other taxes and levies that are not mentioned above
When PAP through their servants collect all the above so that they can pay themselves millions and give some to Lehman Bros, they already make us "bway song". Then they say they must take out $1.1 billion from above to help SMRT an SBS Transit buy 550 buses so that their directors no need to "tng kor". Now they will fooking use the above revenue to integrate foreign imports through parties, workshop, cruises maybe, and make these foreigners instant Singaporeans to make us born and bred Singaporeans more 'tulan'!

I'm just a Singaporean telling it like it is in my blog, vocalising my unhappiness and frustration at a government so lost and confused and so unkind to its citizens especially the older folks who are treated as destructive 'silver tsunami'!

In doing the countdown on my blog everyday, I am helping Gilbert Goh of transitioning.org to attract peace loving Singaporeans who cares and love their children and grandchildren to come to Hong Lim Park to send a message to the PAP government that we are tired of being treated like idiots. In the words of WP's Muhamad Faisal, we want a "Singaporean Singapore" without 6.9 million in 2030. [Must read Link] My sincere appreciation to Brother Muhamad Faisal for speaking for many of us.

Ain't it a shame that the man who wanted us to fight for a "Malaysian Malaysia" way back then has now created a situation with his son and his PAP party for Singaporeans to fight for a "SINGAPOREAN SINGAPORE"!

11 Days to "Say No to 6.9M"

After listening to the
OPENING SPEECH BY DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER, COORDINATING MINISTER FOR NATIONAL SECURITY AND MINISTER FOR HOME AFFAIRS MR TEO CHEE HEAN AT THE PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE ON POPULATION WHITE PAPER, 4 FEBRUARY 2013 (MONDAY), ~4PM,
will SIngaporeans repeat what the Saint Andrew’s Junior College student Reuban Wang said in June 2012, but in Hokkien, "KNNBCCB"!!!

Well, "What do you think?"

To hear him conclude his speech by saying,
"Madam Speaker, we have spent the past year taking in  a diverse range of views, concerns and aspirations expressed by Singaporeans. All the views have been considered, though not all could be fully accommodated as some pull in opposite directions. We have tried to find a judicious balance in charting out our population roadmap for the future, with the well-being and benefit of Singaporeans at the core.
is like being violated by rape, sodomy and then be run over by a cement truck twice over,  first in forward gear then in reverse.

If Teo Chee Hean is sincere with the well-being and benefit of Singaporeans at the core, he would not have wasted tax payers money and parliamentarian's time with this "PAPulation White PAPer".

Question:
  1. If he had spent the past year taking in  a diverse range of views, concerns and aspirations expressed by Singaporeans, why is there now an uproar from docile, submissive Singaporeans? Such furore that Singaporeans are organising  HARTAL.v2  on 16 February 2013 at Hong Lim Park to protest, saying "NO to 6.9 millions!"
  2. Having realised the unhappiness of the people why did he cock a snook at Singaporeans by continuing with the debate. Why not change the parliamentary debate to "How so solve the current unhappiness of Singaporeans who are disillusioned with the over-crowdedness; the expensive subsidised HDB flats; the long wait for armpit breathing space in buses and trains; the consistent traffic jams in CTE, PIE and other roads; the $92,100 COE to buy the cheapest car in Singapore and the ubiquitous 'Is This My Singapore?' where everywhere we go in SIngapore, we feel like we are in a foreign land?
I happened to watch the parliamentary highlights this evening and was perturbed by Minister Tan Chuan Jin belittling WP Gerald Giam implying that WP uses "rhetoric" and pressing "emotional buttons" to score political points. He and Iswaran tried very hard to make Gerald Giam and WP look bad.

Where emotional buttons are concerned, I think it is much worse to appear in photo op and television showing one's emotions at funeral wakes of taxi driver and innocent children tragically killed by vehicles. It is an open secret that Low Thia Kiang, since he was MP at Hougang, attended funerals of his residents who died. Neither he nor msm ever made a song and dance of it.

The honourable deed of "doing good in secret" is a not a trait of self-serving people who aim to be in the limelight to score points at the expense of others. Such self-serving bullies cannot understand let alone know how to "do good in secret". The decent, the sincere and the selfless who "do good in secret" do not flaunt their charitable traits and emotions to score political or any other points!

If Low Thia Khiang can be humble, gracious and graceful in his victory speech in Punggol East, I do not see why PAP ministers need to appear like bullies to members of the opposition party in parliament.  If PAP keeps keeping it up in their hubristic ways, they will be more shell-shocked in 2016 than they are after losing Punggol East ward. Their incredible credibility in AIMgate is for all to see.

PAP will pay a heavy price with its continued arrogance and refusal to admit that 7 million (give or take 100k) papulation in 2030 is not what Singaporeans want. Their refusal to stop acting and their continuing bullying ways will lead to much unhappiness not only to Singaporeans but themselves when push comes to shove.

If Gerald Giam is reading this, this is my message:

Not unlike Grace Fu, the guy who tried to put you down is one who feels that his job is a sacrifice to him and his family. He does not feel it a privilege to serve Singapore. He said, "I'm pained by the knowledge that I'll miss the many moments when my children are growing up and time with my family. My parents are not getting any younger. Those moments missed do not return. Ever... In time I will look back and there will be gaps. But that's life. I'm not sure how one considers it a privilege to miss these precious moments. It trivialises all of us who do cherish these." [Link]

Gerald, with the little NCMP allowance that you get and the time you spend in preparing and appearing in parliament you are a good person! Hormat! You put many PAP MPs and Ministers to shame.
Keep it up, Bro!
Hang in there!

The people are singing!

Update: (12.40am, 6 Feb 2013)
Yahoo's reported, "WP’s Chen Show Mao takes fire in Parliament over 5.9 million projection" [Link] It looks like there were more that 2 attack dogs in parliament embarrassing themselves as bullies! I often wonder why PAP is so stupid. The debate is on the 'papulation paper' put forth by PAP. Instead of defending PAP's proposal with sound reasoning, it sends its attack dogs to terrorise an "alternative proposal" that will never see the light of day.

The trouble with PAP is:
They ask, "What do you think?"
Being gentlemanly, we tell them what we think.
Then they fook us for thinking what we think.

It's time we fook PAP for what they think and, more so, what they do!

HARTAL- 66 Years After

Transcript of Dr Poh's speech available here [Link]

Is it a coincidence that the 50th Anniversary of Operation Cold Store should happen when Singaporeaens feel that they have been buggered by PAP with the 'White PAPer on PAPulation'?

HARTAL: (peaceful complete stoppage of economic activities on a Pan Malayan scale)

After listening to Dr Poh Soo Kai at Hong Lim Park, I now recall my childhood days when my Ah Kong and my Papa told me stories of "Par Kang" (Workers' Strike) and "Pow Tong" (Demonstration) against the Ang Moh Chenghu (English Government) of 1947.

50 years on, after the referendum of 1963 for Malaysia Merger, I now feel like PAP is "beating my mother, my wife and my sisters". Worse, come 2030, my grandchildren will be beaten by them too. In 2030, my grandson may just be "cannon fodder" to defend a Singapore infiltrated by 50% foreigners endorsed by a PAP government.

That is why I am so unhappy and frustrated with what PAP is doing not only to me but to the generations to come.

I'm moved by the speeches made by the Cold Store detainees and I must share the videos above. We must do what we have to do to build a democratic society based on justice and equality. We cannot allow the elitist PAP to continue riding roughshod over us, our children and grandchildren.

While waiting for 2016 to show our colours, we must press on daily to let the uncaring rulers know that all is not well. Enough is enough! The wayang must stop!

While the callous PAP cabinet may not I, as an average Singaporean, am embarrassed by the "belakang pusing" of ministers on the White PAPer on PAPulation" after having sensed the disquiet of the people. On the front page of ST and other media, PAP ministers are featured to come up with crap like:
  • Shanmugum: Paper on Population is "to spur debate" (ST Feb 4);
  • Lee and Khaw: 6.9 million is the worse case scenario (ST don't know when)
So is today 4 Feb 2013 twelve days to HARTAL.v2? [Link]

ps: If the videos above do not measure up, please pardon the old fogey whose hands are not steady enough to act as a tripod. The smartphone he used to record the event was also too smart for him and the battery dried up before Teo Soh Lung finished her speech. The video of Dr Poh's speech was edited so that he appears to speak continuously in English. In the actual speech, the translation was done in between paragraphs of his speech. If it gets too giddy to watch the video. you may read Dr Poh's speech here.

When Saying Sorry Means Nought

Below in italic is extracted from Yahoo - a "must read" [Link]

"If we didn't get it right, I'm sorry. But we will try better the next time."

It was an apology that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong saw fit to repeat twice on Tuesday during the People's Action Party (PAP) first lunchtime rally at Boat Quay next to UOB Plaza.

PM Lee acknowledged some of the government's initiatives have resulted in "side effects", such as problem gambling among Singaporeans due to the opening of the Integrated Resorts.

He also cited the congestion in public transport because of the increased intake in foreigners.
"These are real problems, we will tackle them.  But I hope you will understand when these problems vex you or disturb you or upset your lives, please bear with us, we are trying our best on your behalf," said PM Lee to a crowd of about a thousand.

The secretary-general of the PAP continued, "And if we didn't quite get it right, I'm sorry but we will try better the next time."

Pushing on with a message he had for voters on Monday, PM Lee also admitted the government had made two other high-profile errors.

"We made a mistake when we let Mas Selamat run away. We made a mistake when Orchard Road got flooded," he said.

"No government is perfect… we will make mistakes. But when it happens we should acknowledge it, we should apologise, take responsibility, put things right. If we are to discipline somebody, we will do that, and we must learn from the lessons and never make the same mistake again," said PM Lee.

Like father like son! They never mean what they say. The never say what they mean. They are mean and untrustworthy. Simple as that!

To say sorry then for the sad state of affairs they created and to put up the White Paper on Population now to fook us and our descendants up is simply beyond comprehension! Are they so deranged that reality has escaped them? Or have they given up on Singapore to create mayhem just so to enhance their well-being?

Why put up a White Paper to have 7 million population to be discussed in parliament and then to mitigate the impact by saying it's only the worse case scenario?

Since PAP can no longer dazzle us with their brilliance, are they trying to confuse us with their crap? If this White PAPer ain't crap, I don't know what is.

Let's see if the crap will hit the celing in parliament tomorrow.

Meanwhile, please pay mindful attention to Dr Poh Soo Kai's speech on 2nd February 2013, the 50th Anniversary of Operation Cold Store.

Please note that I have edited the video so that the complete speech by Dr Poh continued in English instead of being translated intermittently between paragraphs. If the quality of the video is not up to your expectation, please pardon me as I was only using a smart phone (too smart for me) to record the event.
